The Mitzvah Bowl is a database of meaningful mitzvah projects in the Greater Philadelphia area. Bar/Bat Mitzvah students use www.themitzvahbowl.com to find unique mitzvah projects which go beyond basic fundraising. Hands-on projects provide the students with a sense of tikkun olam (repair of the world), responsibility, and a connection to their Jewish identity. The website easily walks students through the process of choosing a mitzvah project which will impact them personally. Local synagogues are encouraged to guide Bar/Bat Mitzvah students to the website.
